Broken Diamond House, Cuba

Jorge Luis Veliz Quintana has been the principal architect for this house incorporating large glass facades and radical shapes. The vast interior spaces are connected by double and triple struts while the glass facades are opened by angular-shaped windows. There are angular shapes everywhere that represent a diamond but notably, the two concrete and wood breakwaters seamlessly integrate themselves into the water.

Reptile House, Canada

Reptile house looks unlike anything else while mimicking the environment along with being away from the city limits. It is located on the shores of a lake while the shape blends into the surroundings while having an organic layout. There are massive rocks and an earthy look while giving a feeling of being in the forest itself! The name comes from the fact that the interior represents being inside a reptile!

Room over Mirror, Cuba

A project which has an earthy tone along with combining a sense of space plus lightness. The objective here is akin to ‘floating on water. There is a sense of rustic vibe here with polished marble, intriguing shapes, and rustic stone. There are other interesting design elements like the wood and the concrete (which is exposed) plus the large swathes of metal and the glass. The sense of airiness is also there due to the doors of entry plus the exit being hidden.

Hugging House, USA

This project is about taking an environmentally friendly home to a next level with an infusion of nature in its very design. The whole project revolves around being sustainable, eco-conscious plus embracing nature. There are large open spaces along with a roof garden along with having vegetation on different floors. The large windows on the walls and ceilings also further drive home that point. The house is divided into two levels with the living room, bathroom, kitchen, dining room, swimming pool, etc on the first level while there are two bedrooms with bathrooms at level 2.

Coral Bedroom, Greece

The main idea of this project has been to integrate the sea and its surrounding environment. The design is also akin to being in a seashell with corals around you. Various elements of sea vegetation and the sea bed have been embedded here as well with a sense of airiness reflecting the vast sea.

Exotic Bathroom, Cuba

An outside bathroom is a practical idea especially in coastal/sandy areas with sand not entering the main house. The project seen here is a massive space incorporating outside design details plus the feeling of bathing under sunlight or under stars at night. Materials like ceramic or stone tiles, cement, or a wooden walkway can be used too.

Hotel in the Trees, Cuba

A design straight out of a sci-fi movie, “hotel in the trees” is a concept of having a smaller-sized hotel complex on trees that are connected to each other via a wooden suspension bridge and tensioners. There are various parts to the hotel with spaces for all amenities like a restaurant, bedrooms with bathrooms shaped like a nest plus more. Of course, you have a feeling of being one with nature along with breathtaking views too!
